As more and more sponsors discover Groupable, your group has probably started to notice the variety of sponsorships you’re receiving.
In fact, when sponsors ask us how to most effectively use Groupable, we provide them a whole handbook on the advantages of different kinds of sponsorships, from couponing to product giveaways to direct funding.
In our effort to continually make Groupable a useful platform for both sponsors and groups, we’ve built a way to help your group take control over the sort of sponsorships you receive.

When you’re reviewing a sponsorship offer, the box on the right-hand side of the screen has a big “Apply to this Offer” button that makes it easy to apply to the sponsorship offer. This kicks off the relationship between you and the sponsor. Depending on the terms, this will either start your sponsorship immediately, or open the door to former negotiation.
If you don’t feel this sponsorship offer is useful to your groups mission, simply click the “no thanks, I’m not interested” text. This will clear out the offer and provide sponsors important feedback on how to provide you a better sponsorship offer. This isn’t a useful feature for most of the groups on our system, who are interested in reviewing any offer to help them organize. But for some groups, this provides you greater control over your sponsorship experience.
As always, we’re open to feedback on how to improve your experience. If you have any comments or suggestions, simply click the “feedback” button in the upper right hand corner of your profile and your comments will be sent to our team.

We’ve listened. We’ve heard. You cried and cajoled and now we’re weeks away from launching the new Groupable platform that will enable you to do lots of things that were wishes only months ago. Here are some of the highlights;
- No need to import your group’s info into your profile a second time. Just paste the feeds of favorite image, video or event site and keep your sponsors up to date.
- Group Currency - now offer “grouplets” to groups as sponsorship option. Groups can redeem for cash and merchandise.
- Groups can now use the platform to raise money for their cause by filling out surveys or signing up for trial offers.
- Upload video from your hard drive or paste in the rss feed of your video channel.
There are many other improvements and updates including increased speed and access to your socially networked world. Let us know what else you’ve been pining for. Yes, we know - SPONSORSHIP!!
There are now over 90 sponsors reviewing profiles every day. We are expecting to increase that number to over 500 with local sponsors in your geographic area also within the coming weeks.
Happy Holidays from the Groupable Team.

How many groups are you in? How many Facebook, LinkedIn, MeetUp or ad-hoc entities vie for your attention? The groups that I belong to are filled with dedicated, passionate lovers of something (in my case it’s technology, entrepreneurship and Northern Italian cooking). They’re hard core. This is just the type of passion that sponsors want to recruit to help spread the message of their product or service. Once such sponsor is Harper Studio (Harper Collins).
With a stable of great books by authors who really are leading the charge for the passionate,
the Groupable connection was a logical one. Pair passionate experts with groups of passionate people. Head cheerleader for “Passion” and how to cash in on it, is Harper Studio author and social media oenophilist, Gary Vaynerchuk. Crush It!: Why NOW Is the Time to Cash In on Your Passion
. We’re teaming up with the Harper Studio folks to offer some innovative programs with groups like yours - including having Gary himself come speak for an hour to your humble little gathering, in exchange for buying a minimum number of books. With his speaking fees skyrocketing, here’s your chance to harness the power of the masses and buy books for the club and organize an event around it. Check out the other promotions. You must be a registered groupable group to participate.
